WALTER PUETZ
Senior Vice President - Product Engineering

As senior vice president of Product Engineering for Detroit Diesel (DDC), a subsidiary of DaimlerChrysler AG, Walter Puetz oversees all heavy-duty on-highway product engineering, including engineering technologies, design, components development, performance and emissions, and applications engineering for the DaimlerChrysler Commercial Vehicle Division NAFTA Group.  He also serves as a member of DDC’s Executive Committee, the company’s senior policy-making group.

“DDC’s engineering department includes some of the most scientifically advanced groups in the industry,” said Puetz.  “We are focused on the development of technology that will provide essential benefits to our customers now and well into the future.”

 

ANDREW M. WILLIAMSON
Senior Vice President - Chief Financial Officer

As senior vice president and chief financial officer for Detroit Diesel (DDC), a subsidiary of DaimlerChrysler AG, Andy Williamson is responsible for the company’s accounting and financial activities, including treasury and tax.  He is also a member of DDC’s Executive Committee, the company’s senior policy-making group.

“My key priority is to drive the financial discipline and decisions to support and meet our business objectives,” said Williamson.  “As one of the world’s leading engine manufacturers, Detroit Diesel is well positioned to continue growing in the commercial vehicle industry.”

 

JOHN GALBRAITH
Chief Quality Officer

As chief quality officer for Detroit Diesel (DDC), a subsidiary of DaimlerChrysler AG, John Galbraith is responsible for all Quality, Materials Engineering, Reliability and Vendor Recovery activities for the company. He also serves on DDC’s executive committee, the company’s senior policy-making group.

Galbraith joined Detroit Diesel in May 2004 as the director of Warranty Improvement.  He has extensive industry experience, including 15 years with Cummins Engine Company, Inc.  Between 2002 and 2004 he was responsible for Reliability Improvement for Cummins Heavy Duty Business, leading a group of Six Sigma Black Belts generating a 10 percent annualized reduction in warranty expenditure. Additionally, he was a recipient of the 2003 Chairman's Award for Six Sigma Excellence for his sponsorship of a project resulting in $9.5 million of savings.

 

CHRIS ELLSWOOD
Vice President - Procurement

As vice president – Procurement for Detroit Diesel (DDC), a subsidiary of DaimlerChrysler AG, Chris Ellswood is responsible for the procurement of direct and indirect products and services.  He reports through the Commercial Vehicle Procurement organization (PCV) with central offices located in Stuttgart, Germany, as well as directly to DDC’s Carsten Reinhardt, Chief Executive Officer and President. Ellswood also serves on the DDC Executive Committee, the company’s senior policy-making group.
